Moved In

Last Thursday was our first night spent at the new place!  Here's how we celebrated...

(Crystal glasses courtesy of our fantastic Realtor!)  We still don't have cable or internet, which might be a good thing since we need to finish our painting projects and organize our lives.


My sweet parents visited this weekend and worked for with us the entire time!  They led our efforts in painting, cutting out panels on our kitchen cabinets (see action shot below) , one project that included electrical work and drywall, and long-term planning (the fun part).  My dad is a wealth of knowledge when it comes to DIY projects.  What a gem!  Parents are the best!  :)

We found a cute neighborhood restaurant on Saturday that we decided will be our new go-to place for casual dinners and (sometimes) drinks.  Part of our master life plan is to buy bikes, so it will be a quick ride from our house!

The new haunt is a bit of an older, more family-oriented crowd than what you find in the neighborhood we just left.  It's a little symbolic of our age, I guess.  Mortgages, property taxes, and yard work! Oh my!  :)
